I have a brand new 2901 and I'm trying to work out what licence features I have. The output of show licence shows I have ipbasek9 feature and datak9 as EvalRightToUse feature. Is BGP included in the base feature? What will happen when the datak9 evaluation period expires?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am facing a very big problem with site to site vpn on cisco 2900 ios.i configured the vpn and when i ping from router itself to destination ip with source as lan interface , VPN works, no problem.but when i connect any computer directly to router's lan interface to initiate traffic , it doesnot work at all. and on computer's lan i see yeloow sign.
mtu is 1500, speed is auto (i tried chaging also) , duplex is auto ( i tried changing also) , thoguh firewall on pc should not affect but still i disabled it.since their is no problem with vpn config as vpn comes up when i initiate ping from router itself but i dont know why it is not working from lan.do we need any inspect icmp on this router also ? or any policy modification to pass traffic across the interfac on router is required ?
i was useinf c2900k9-15.0(M4).bin and i upgraded it to 15.3 which is lated to get reed of any bug .lastly , i connected two laptops directly to router's gi0/0, g0/1 interface to ping from one laptop to another but this also did not work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOK so I am following the steps that i got from off the CISCO site on upgrading the IOS, when i get the the part where if says to:
redundancy reload peer
so after i do that i go to the standby supervisor and i see that it is in a continuous reboot loop. I stop the loop and i reload the sup to the original IOS cat4000-i9s.........
SO i look at the logs and this is what i see:

I have a 4503-e with WS-X4013+TS supervisor and WS-X4548-GB-RJ45 card. I purchased a WS-X4648-RJ45-E card and installed but IOS says its unsupported. Supervisor is running 12.2(46)SG software and 12.2(31r)SGA firmware. Obviously I'm hoping this cars can be supported somehow. Do I need to upgrade software or firmware, or return the linecard and get equivalent supported card? Oh, system is running Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software. (cat4500-IPBASEK9-M)

We are going to be moving to a 20MB line, and i just wanted to make sure I have the right connections before installing. We also have a T1 line in another loaton and would be moving to this same 2811 router there as well.We would also like to copy over the configuration from 1700 series router to the 2811 router. Would it be easier to do it by hyper-terminal? Also if we keep the 1700 routers are they capable of using layer-3?

I have set the logging level on the 2900 router to informational and see no errors of any kind popping up when I try to scan the router from SpiceWorks. Spiceworks just returns a generic "unable to contact host" message.

I will also have a Cisco ISR 2900 at each site running SRST for my voice system. I have some experience with BGP and am not scared at all to support it if need be. That said, I am currently looking at pros and cons of going with a managed router from this company vs managing my own. Actually, I will manage my own regardless and would just plug it into the managed router. My router is perfectly capable of handling the BGP protocol but I am hoping that I can get some opinions from all of you.
