I bought a MR3040 Router & I have a ZTE AC682 (EVDO) Modem. I found my modem's model in Modem Compatibility List (Other Country, Indonesia & Singapore).
1st time The router showing Unknown Modem.
Then I tried with .bin file upgrade. The Router Showing Identifying .... Then I tried with firmware Upgrade. But Still Showing Identifying ....

May 16, 2013I updated my dir-655 firmware to 1.36WW after the update I the router has been restored to factory settings and every time I try to change any setting it gives me: "ap should not be locked before configuring". I cant change set any configuration, cant change even the router time!I logged in to the router as admin and left the password blank.

Of course it works only when the user is inside my network.(IIS running over windows server 2008 OS)Now I want to make it visible to the WWW, so I created a rule to make a port forwarding to it:I went to: Advanced > Virtual Servers and created a rule with the given information:

This rule created automatically a firewall rule

Unfortunately it isn't enough, if I type myPublicIp:8787 I can't access the website because I either get "connection reset" error or a timeout.I pluged my computer directly in my modem and it worked perfectly.To make a test, I tried to enable the router remote administration on the port 10001. I'm unable to configure my Data Card (ZTE-AC8700). I tried with manual settings but it keeps on showing the message "connecting" but doesn't connects although my datacard is shown as identified by the device MR-3020. I'm using BSNL EVDO connection and my datacard is ZTE-AC8700. It doesn't uses any APN, only a username and password and dial number "#777" is required to connect. configuring my datacard with MR3020 ???

May 17, 2012I'm still using 2.00NA.It seems that whenever I connect to a particular www3 webpage, my modem and router end up rebooting shortly thereafter. This has happened a few times. The modem's log shows in this order1. No Ranging Response received ,2. Unicast Ranging Received Abort Respone ,3. MIMO Event.I've tried to figure this out. My search on the MIMO event revealed one post about IPv4 and IPv6. This indicates to me that I should probably be upgrading the firmware and configuring its use for IPv6 compatibility.If I upgrade to FW 2.30NA, how should I configure the IPv6, i.e., which parameters should I use?

What I want to do is, to reproduce WiFi signal (from TP-LINK modem) by repeating with D-Link Wireless Access Point.
Here is how web interface looks. There is an option for repeating:
After clicking Site Survey I see all list of available networks. When I select one of them, the D-link saves changes then reboots. After that, Windows shows me something like that on available WiFi networks list:
<Repeated network name> 2
The problem is, when I connect to this network, Windows connects directly into root source, not to my WAP (I see this with inSSIDer utility).

Mar 13, 2012I found out that I cant access my modem (TP-Link W8901G) config page at 192.168.1.1. I was pretty sure my ID and password is correct since I never changed them. It is also unlikely that the password got changed by other people who are stealing my Wi-Fi as I turned my WLAN on only when I requires the connection then it get turned off afterwards.

We need to configure the AP in such a way, only 1 antenna to be used & not other two, to meet some mounting requirements/limitations. Will I be able to do this using any test/debug commands?
Essentially I want this AP to be operating in 1x1 spatial stream, & with no antenna diversity, so that I can connect only 1 antenna & be deterministic about AP using only connected Antenna RF port & not others
With out configuring anything, when I connect only 1 Antenna, I observed that signal is fluctuating on Client Application & causing the applications traffic stream disconnect.

My 743ND v2, connected to a Ubiquity AirGrid M5, got its WAN port fried due to a power surge. Lightning struck our desolate Paraguayan power grid close to my location, and I guess the power surge went throught the PoE adaptor of the AirGrid into the WAN port of the 743ND. ethernet ports and Wifi work fine, just the WAN is dead.
Is there any way to tell the router to use one of the 4 ethernet ports as uplink instead of the dead WAN port?Can't find such an option in the router administration, and the only hint I found on the web so far leads to a wildly experimental version of Open-WRT, which I would love to avoid...

I'am a user of perfect-privacy.com (who provide VPN access for safe internet usage) and want to force the users of my internet connection to use perfect-privacy. On my old router i only allow access to the domain *.perfect-privacy.com and deny all other domains. To surf the web it was nessesary to connect via VPN (example server: moscow.perfect-privacy.com) to surf the web.
I've tested the Parental Control, but when i have activated it, i can access perfect-privacy.com, but i can't open a VPN connection to a Perfect Privacy server. Is there any way to configure Parental Control to allow VPN connections, or realize me needs in another way?
