View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat would cause debug output to not show on a remote session via telnet connection where you've enabled terminal monitor?
The reason I ask is I was working with a client and we were debugging WCCP. I ran the debug ip wccp packets and events commands, then entered terminal monitor. After this, we saw nothing. We should have at least seen particular WCCP-related packets because we saw the necessary cluster view was established which can't be done without the exchange of these packets.
Can having syslog (logging) configured cause the issue? Did I use the command incorrectly?

if there is a MIB for monitoring temperature on a Cisco 800?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe bought two packs of IPCAM online from a vendor named HooToo, who seems have different online sites for selling various surveillance cameras. What we purchased is a unit with model no. of HT-IP206, according to its advertisement it has a storage temperature as low as minus 10 degree, and adversely high up to 60degree. While on the other hand, it states that the operating temperature shall be strictly between zero and 55degree. What Im concerned is that what if temperature drops down to minus when a camera is fully operating? Shall extra heating system be needed while the real temperature fails to meet the above-said requirement?

We want to monitor the device temperature via snmp but unable to do because temperature ratings are not available on "show environment all" output like below.

Where as on Cisco 2811/51 & Cisco 3825/45 we can get temperature ratings on "show env all" output.
As per link [URL] below commands are supported on Cisco 2800 series router.
Command options
• show environment all
• show environment fans
• show environment leds
• show environment power-supply
• show environment table
• show environment temperatures
• show environment voltages

I would like to get the temperature status from this 2960 switch (and several other models. Normally this OID should be:.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.6 But it does not return anything.
The termperature status can be found from the command line by running:"sh env temp" This reports back ok, so I assume there is a temperate gauge in the switch.
This oid is part of the "CISCO-ENVMON-MIB" mib and accouding to the Cisco MIB selector it is supported on my switch and IOS - 12.2(25).
(Another thing I woudl like to monitor and should be supported is the fan status oid (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3). That doesn't return anything either.
What do I need to do to get the temperature environment status from SNMP query?
Recently i have visit some site for survey of wireless (WiFi). My client ask to provide the Access Point inside the Cold storage of factory( For RF scanners) The temperature of the place is -25 C to -30 C. I have go throug the wireless option of cisco like 1200 series, 1100 series, 3500 series, but all of these operate maximum of -20C. while only out door access point ( cisco 1500 Series ) support such low temparture.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get the temperature reading from one of our 3560G Switches using SNMP. When I run an snmpget on the Switch it returns back to me a "1".
So when I run the following I get:
> snmpget -v1 -c public 192.168.x.xxx 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1005
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1005 = Gauge32: 1
But when I telnet to the device and run a "show env temperature status" I get:
# show env temp status
Temperature Value: 32 Degree Celsius
Temperature State: GREEN
Yellow Threshold : 51 Degree Celsius
Red Threshold : 61 Degree Celsius
So I'm not sure why I am getting a "1" when using snmpget on the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1005 which is (ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue)??
If I run the same OID on another 3560G Router I get the correct output from snmp....
Any explanation regarding these different operating temperature ranges? I would think it doesn't matter the enclosure that the switch is in, it will either work or fail at a certain temperature.,-40C to +70C (Vented Enclosure Operating),-20C to +60C (Sealed Enclosure Operating), -34C to +75C (Fan or Blower equipped Enclosure Operating).
